2007's Xbox Arcade classic Pac-Man Championship Edition is also included in this collection, bringing the original Pac-Man arcade experience into the modern age of HD graphics and sound. Next up is the PSP version of Pac-Man Arrangement, which is almost identical to the arcade version, but lacks the 2-player component. Despite just being a re-skin of the developer's previous Fury of the Furries title, Pac-In-Time is a pretty solid entry in the franchise with a pleasant cartoon-y art style and tight platforming mechanics. The first of which is 1993's Pac-Attack, a falling-tile puzzle game in which players match rows of blocks and ghosts to clear a stage, similar to Tetris.ġ995's Pac-In-Time is included in the mix, bringing another side-scrolling platformer to the table. On the console game front, Pac-Man Museum+ brings over another seven classic titles. In single-player, this game is just a classic arcade Pac-Man game, but in multiplayer, Pac-Men can eat each other when powered up. The most recent arcade game included in Pac-Man Museum+, 2011's Pac-Man Battle Royale sees up to four players trying to compete to earn the highest score. This arcade version should also include a two-player mode. This game is basically a remake of the original, with near-identical gameplay, but a significant graphical and audio overhaul. Jumping forward almost a decade, the next arcade offering in Pac-Man Museum+ is 1996's Pac-Man Arrangement. Pac-Mania also gives Pac-Man the ability to escape ghosts by jumping over them. 1984's side-scrolling platformer Pac-Land is also present in this collection, acting as a nice change of pace from the rest of the games on offer.Īnother slight change of pace, 1987's Pac-Mania takes the classic maze-chase gameplay, and gives it a new isometric angle. Players will need to collect keys, so they can open sections of the map and eat the fruit inside.Ī direct sequel to Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal uses essentially the same gameplay mechanics, but also includes an AI assistant named Mil, who brings fruit to the center of the screen. Being Namco's take on a direct sequel, Super Pac-Man retains the same general gameplay formula of its predecessor, but does switch up the objectives a little. It seems pretty likely that just about every gamer has played the original Pac-Man at least once in their life, so players should have a good idea of what's in-store with this particular arcade offering.ġ982's Super Pac-Man is included in this compilation. The first of which is of course 1980's Pac-Man, the classic that started it all. Pac-Man Museum+ features a total of seven games that were originally developed for arcade use.
